Study Abroad
Study Abroad or fee-paying modality: The University offers to foreign students the possibility to enroll in regular courses if a prior agreement exists with the home university and/or in special situations, which are to be evaluated on a case by case basis. Students can attend regular courses if they fulfill the prerequisites and are accepted by the corresponding Academic Unit.

The cost will depend on the number of credits that the student registers for in each semester. The Chilean student takes 50 academic credits each semester. However, the foreign student may take an average of 35 to 40 credits each semester. The Catholic University of Chile does not restrict the number of courses that students choose, it only recommends that a foreign student takes as many credits as her or his level of Spanish allows him/her.
