Bernabé Santelices Print


Bernabé Santelices (1945- )

 Professor of Natural Sciences and Biology at the Catholic University and doctorate in the subject at the University of Hawaii. Since its inception, ecology and marine biology were among its main interests. His intense research work has been translated into the publication of 155 articles published in prestigious journals linked to his area. He has also published four books, participated in 70 conferences and 205 papers at scientific events in 30 countries. Among the acknowledgments he has received, the First Prize Marinalg International stands out for the best scientific work presented during the respective International Seaweed Symposium in 1989 and 1995. He is currently vice president of the council of the National Commission of Scientific and Technological Research, Conicyt.
