Professor Emeritus

Professor Emeritus is an honorary academic degree awarded to retired professors who have made a difference through their outstanding teaching or research career for at least 20 years. It can also be awarded to active professors when they turn 65 years old or have 30 years of outstanding academic work. The degree is recommended by the Dean of the professor’s college, whether out of his or her own initiative or at the request of the academic unit’s director.
