Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies is responsible for developing and implementing the University's doctoral training, research and creation, innovation, and transfer policies, as well as its national and international collaboration policies for research and postgraduate studies. It also promotes and implements academic policies related to publications, artistic creation, intellectual property, and all multidisciplinary research and knowledge development at UC Chile and its regional centers and stations.
About the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies
This Vice President is responsible for developing and implementing the University's policies on doctoral training, research, creation, innovation, and transfer, as well as national and international collaboration in research and postgraduate studies. She also heads the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies.

Graduate School
Our mission is to ensure the strategic and integral advancement of doctoral education at UC. We are actively involved in the formulation and execution of policies and frameworks that, in conjunction with the academic divisions, guarantee the excellence of UC's doctoral programs and foster the development of outstanding independent researchers.
Office of Research
A unit that fosters research in all areas of knowledge, boosts interdisciplinary development and promotes research with an international scope. It supports applications to national and international projects and offers grants to academics.
Office of Transfer & Development
A unit with the mission to promote, facilitate and expand applied research and the transfer of new knowledge to society with the goal of contributing to the country’s development.
UC Innovation Center
We promote a pro-innovation and entrepreneurship culture environment at UC Chile and the region, through meetings, networking and the promotion of joint projects between academia, the private sector and public institutions.
Ethics and Safety Unit
Its mission is to ensure excellence by safeguarding ethics, safety in research, and good scientific practices through the proper conduct of research, providing advice to committees, and training members of the university community.
Executive Direction
The unit in charge of the office’s administrative, economic and financial management, supporting the Vice President for Research and Graduates Studies; and its associated offices.
