Over 60 International Students Participate in Summer Programs at UC Chile
Thanks to programs co-developed by the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs and various academic units, international students have the opportunity to spend their summer in Chile exploring topics such as interculturality, climate change, business, public health, and languages.

While regular UC Chile students are on summer break, on January 5 at San Joaquín Campus we welcomed a new group of international students who took part in summer programs throughout the month.
Coming from countries such as South Korea, New Zealand, Japan, Slovakia, and the United States, among others, over 60 international students join various programs:
- Intercultural Approaches for Public Health, co-developed with the School of Nursing,
- From Climate Risk to Sustainability, co-developed with the Faculty of Agricultural and Natural Systems,
- Apacheta, with the participation of faculty members from the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences and the Faculty of Literature (UC Chile Spanish Program),
- Spring Semester at UC Chile, with faculty members from the Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Literature and Language Sciences (UC Chile Spanish Program), the Institute of Urban Studies, and the Institute of Sustainable Development. This program will run until May.
In addition, faculty members from the Faculty of History, Geography, and Political Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, and the UC Chile Intercultural Program also participated in these courses and led several sessions.
On their welcome day, students took part in an orientation session about Chile and UC Chile, along with tours of the campus, and, for lunch, a traditional completada, a gathering to eat Chilean-style hot dogs, where they talked, played games, and met their classmates for the month of January.
