After months of work and discussion, on Friday, January 23 the student mobility agreement was signed, which enables undergraduate students from UC Chile and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to participate in a bilateral academic exchange.
The agreement, signed by UC Chile President Juan Carlos de la Llera and the LSE Secretary, Louise Nadal, reveals a solid and long-lasting cooperative relationship between the two universities. Likewise, it formalizes student mobility, enabling the transfer of course credits and allowing undergraduate students to spend a full academic year at the partner institution.
This partnership represents a landmark for UC Chile, as it is the first time that an agreement of this nature has been established with LSE. Thus, LSE will be added to the list of institutions where students can apply.
“The signing of this agreement, which will enable UC Chile and LSE students to study for an academic year at the partner institution, helps our students to have transformative experiences. It also reflects our commitment to educational excellence and highlights the positive relationships established with international partner universities,” states UC Chile Vice President for International Affairs, Maria Montt.
The special application process is projected for March of this year, with the goal of having selected students complete the academic year at LSE between September of 2026 and July of 2027. Subsequently, it will be added to the regular enrollment offerings in the October call for applications each year.
